What to Expect – Al Rawabi School for Girls Season 2

Al Rawabi School for Girls Season 2

Al Rawabi School for Girls Season 2 Is “breaking new grounds”. that’s what director Tima Shomali said about the second season.

Netflix MENA announced that shooting for the second season has concluded. And the time that went into it indicates that a lot of hard work went into making Season 2.
Screenwriting took around a year followed by 6 months of preparations and 60 days of shooting.

Al Rawabi School for Girls Season 2 What to Expect

Actually, I don’t know what to expect from the second season, especially after the ending we had.

Since the plot was somewhat resolved. the first season ended in a way that hardly allowed for a second season. I have to say they hit a dead-end.

The Biggest Challenge for the Second Season

Pulling Out of the Dead-end:

Alrawabi School for Girls Season 2 What to expect

For me, the second season feels like it was not planned. And that it is all about the money trying to milk the success of the first season.

So the second season has to carry out the show in a way that shows great writing and planning in a way that will convince the viewers and hock them from the get-go.

Creativity and Originality

This is what will make or break the show.

Tima Shomali Al Rawabi

I am actually kind of excited to see what Al Rawabi School for Girls Season 2 has to offer.

After almost 2 years, of preparations the expectations are high.
So it has to offer creative, surprising events while being true to the story and characters.

And that is exactly what our director is promising, Shomali says, “Season two will have some surprises,”. “We have some interesting aspects we’re exploring in the next season and there are new grounds that we’re breaking.”

So we will have to wait and see.

Script Writing

It would be great if they improved the dialogue, the way the characters are talking seemed kind of cold and distant. For me, the script sounds like something straight from google translate.

So there is definitely room for improvement there

Representation of Jordanian Society and Culture

It is worth noting that Al Rawabi School for Girls is Netflix’s Second Jordanian TV show after Jinn

Since Jinn was poorly received by Arabs and especially Jordanians.
It struck rage and anger as it did nothing to represent the Arabs or their culture. it came across as disrespectful and inappropriate.

So when Al Rawabi came out a lot of people presumed that this show had repeated the same mistakes and a lot of people prejudged and attacked the show before even giving it a chance.

Now it is important to keep in mind that the reception of the series varies among individuals depending on their ages and backgrounds but overall I believe that the show tried its best to give a somewhat accurate representation of the Jordanian Society.

It’s always a good idea to watch the show and tell for yourself based on your experiences and perspectives.
